Principle
RIP-Seq uses a target-specific antibody to enrich RNA-protein complexes. Recovered RNA is sequenced to identify associated transcripts and enrichment patterns. Antibody compatibility and input and control designs are considered during planning.
Applications
- Screen coding and non-coding RNAs associated with a target protein
- Compare RNA enrichment across conditions
- Investigate post-transcriptional functions of RNA-binding proteins
Method features
- Screens protein-associated RNAs transcriptome-wide
- Can cover mRNA, lncRNA and other RNA classes
- Complements CLIP-Seq by focusing on associated RNA enrichment
Workflow
- 01
